FIBA 3×3 Under-18 World Cup, a basketball tournament for under 18 ran by the International Basketball Federation was held recently at Cyberjaya Malaysia, with 32 teams who flew in from 17 different countries. This short but intense 3-on-3 10-minutes basketball gam was first held in Rimini, Italy in September 2011 and has been held annually since then.
Under Armour had gone through talent searching all over Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, uncovering new talents in the sport of basketball prior to the FIBA 3×3 U18 Asia Cup final. Winners of the U-18 male and female categories from each of these countries had the opportunity to join their national contingent and compete in the finals.
The tournament was held from 26th to the 28th May, which includes a qualifying draw followed by a main draw featuring 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams, divided in 4 pools of 3 each. U-18 playerChina and Indonesia emerging as champions of the men’s and women’s category of the FIBA 3×3 U18 Asia Cup 2017
