Guardian Malaysia together with Reckitt Benckiser (M) Sdn Bhd has launched a charity campaign Kempen Beli & Derma for the Holy Month of Ramadan to raise fund for two children’s homes.
Under the campaign, for every RM30 of Dettol products sold, Guardian Malaysia will donate RM1 and these fund goes to two homes – Pertubuhan Kebajikan & Pendidikan Cahaya Bistari at Batu Caves, Selangor, and Asrama Darul Falah (ASDAF) at Bukit Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur. According to Ms Christina Low, Marketing Director of Guardian Malaysia, the company aim to raise minimum RM20,000 for Kempen Beli & Derma. As such, each home will receive RM10,000 for the preparation of Aidilfitri celebrations at the end of Ramadan or to pay for school fees and daily essentials.
Ms Tiffany Tang, Marketing Director of Reckitt Benckiser, Malaysia and Singapore added that this joint effort enable them to reach out to the millions of Guardian stores customers nationwide, and on-line. They fully agree and support Guardian’s initiative that many customers would welcome the opportunity to do charity while shopping for the upcoming Raya celebrations.
That’s not all. Guardian Malaysia took all 100 children from both home for a shopping spree whereas each children were given RM100 to spend and an iftar session together with the members of the media after the shopping spree. Dettol also took this opportunity to organized and interactive session on personal hygiene.
