Fifty finalists from the recent Guardian Win A Home Makeover (WAHM) contest battled it out live at Berjaya Times Square for a chance to win home makeover packages worth RM500,000 in total. Top 10 contestants went home with the grand prize of RM50,000 home makeover each which comes with interior renovations for the kitchen, living room, master bedroom as well as electrical appliances from Kuvings.
All 50 finalists were among over one million entries received for WAHM contest, which was held in conjunction with Guardian Malaysia’s 50th anniversary celebration. The contest was also jointly organized with Petron Malaysia.
Ms. Christina Low, Marketing Director of Guardian Health and Beauty Sdn Bhd said that the company viewed home makeover as a big-ticket price. They wanted to offer a prize that was meaningful to reward their loyal and supportive customers over the last 50 years. Home makeover enables them to be a part of their customers key life moments, contributing in making their family home environment more comfortable.
The joint partnership with Petron also makes it easier for shoppers to participate where as a minimum purchase of RM10 from Guardian store or Guardian E-store qualifies them for one entry. P Miles members from Petron who pump a minimum RM10 petrol fuel in a single receipt also automatically qualified for one entry. All in all, the contest was a huge success with over one million entries during the short two months period.

The company remain committed to giving their customers more value whenever they fuel up with Petron. All 50 finalists has equal chance to win the TEN grand price home makeover packages worth RM50,000 each by battling it out in a reality-formate at the finale. The goal is to promote camaraderie and sportsmanship among all shoppers.
The remaining 40 finalists took home attractive prizes home as well. Ten won the first prize of one year of free petrol from Petron worth RM4,000 each, another 10 won second prize of Guardian vouchers worth RM2,000 each and the rest of 20 won Petron Miles point worth RM1,000 each.
